Abstract

PURPOSE: To accomplish optional control of the ratio between the opening and closing speed of a valve body by properly setting the opening area of the controlling piping connection and the opening area of a clearance.
CONSTITUTION: Opening a self-return sensor head or a manual start valve reduces the pressure of a fluid in a pressure storage chamber 4. This is because less fluid flows into the pressure storage chamber 4 from a clearance 10 than that released into the air from the sensor head and the manual start valve. Therefore, a valve body 11 with a sector-shaped cross-section opens. But the turning speed of the valve body 11, namely the opening and closing speed of a valve, can be controlled as desired by properly setting the ratio between the opening area of the controlling piping section 7 and the opening area of the clearance 10, less than the former.
