Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce a flicker of display appearing when a projected image changes to left or right, by providing polarizing plate in the optical path between viewer's eye and a TV receiver. CONSTITUTION:In cabinet 1, television receiver 2 and shutter part 4 in opposition to video tube screen 3 of television receiver 2 are built. Through eyepiece member 5 provided to shutter part 4, pictures projected on video tube screen 3 of television receiver 2 are viewed. A box is composed of substrate 6 and front board 16 while the inside is painted in black, and shutter disks 11a and 11b are provided successively and rotatably. On front board 16, cylindrical eyepiece members 5a and 5b are provided successively and to eyepiece members 5a and 5b, polarizing plates 18a and 18b are adhered so that polarization axes 19a and 19b of those polarizing plates are fixed at an angle of 45 deg. to the connection line between eyepiece members 5a and 5b. Consequently, they are also at an angle of 45 deg. to the scanning line of TV receiver 2.
