Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the heat collecting efficiency of a solar heat water heater and to enable it to be set in the garden of a private house, by attaching solar heat water heaters having two surfaces in the shape of a gable roof onto the top of a rotating body upright on an oil reservoir, and by causing the reflective surfaces of the water heater to track the movement of the sun.
CONSTITUTION: A rotating body 2 extends upward on a hot water reservoir 1, and has on top of it solar water heaters 3 having two surfaces in the shape of a gable roof. For example, the rotating body 2 is set such that a pointer 19 of the rotating body 2 poins 7 o'clock on a time scale 21 thereby surfaces of reflective bodies 27 of the water heaters 3 facing the direction of the sunlight. At the set time of the timer, a solenoid 14 is operated to cause the first click 8 of an anchor 7 to be released from a ratchet 5, then the ratchet 5 is rotated by a click length by the force of a spring 13 to make the solenoid 14 unoperative, and the first click 8 again anchors the ratchet 5. At this time the surfaces of the reflective bodies 27 face the direction of the sunlight. A vertically movable body 24 will be moved vertically according to the height of the sun that will vary in accordance with the season so that the upward facing grade of the water heaters 3 can be adjusted.
