Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:An N-substituted trialkoxybenzylpiperazine derivative expressed by formula I [R is methyl or ethyl; Z is formula II (A is H, lower alkyl, hydroxymethyl, phenyl, naphthaloxymethyl, etc.)].
USE: A remedy for ischemic heart diseases having a pharmacological action on the coromary circulatory system, e.g. a coronary arterial vasodilator action or inhibitory action on the movement of heart.
PROCESS: An N-trialkoxybenzylpiperazine expressed by formula III is reacted with a compound of formula IV (X is halogen) or formula V or VI, if necessary in the presence of a suitable deacidifying agent, in an unreactive solvent, e.g. an alcohol, at room temperature to 100°C to give the compound of formula I.
