Abstract

PURPOSE: To perform joining of less oxidation and discoloration and less factors for causing corrosion by wetting the objects to be joined with a soln. contg. an org. solvent, a polyhydric alcohol and an org. halogen activating material and brazing the same in a nonoxidative gas.
CONSTITUTION: In joining copper, copper alloy, etc., joining objects are wetted by using a soln. contg. an org. solvent such as alcohol, a polyhydric alcohol deriv. such as glycerol, and an org. halogen activating material such as dimethylamine hydrochloride. In this state, they are brazed with heating in nonoxidative gaseous current of nitrogen, etc. by using a brazing filler metal such as tin-lead alloy. By this joining method, the reliable brazing with less factors for causing corrosion such as flux residues is accomplished with less occurrence of oxidation and discoloration in the objects to be joined.
