Abstract

PURPOSE: To simplify internal mechanism and save fuel cost by providng an air high-pressure compression chamber and combustion chamber separately from each other in a rotary internal combustion engine.
CONSTITUTION: A combustion chamber drum 8 with a rotatably- and eccentrically- built-in main rotor 1 and an air compression chamber drum 9 with a rotatably- and eccentrically-built-in subrotor 10 are placed in parallel and a main rotor shaft 7 and a subrotor shaft 17 are interconnected to develop a rotation ratio of 1:2. The rotor 1 is provided with the two rotary blades 2 and 19 which can be set in and out by the centrifugal force of rotation and are rotatable together with the main rotor 1 while kept in contact with the inner face of the drum 8, and the rotor 10 with one rotary blade 11 which can be set in and out by the centrifugal force of rotation and is rotatable together with the rotor 10 while kept in contact with the inner face of the drum 9. The drum 9 is furnished with an air intake port 15 and a feed pipe 16 for feeding pressure air to the drum 8, and the drum 8 with a fuel injector nozzle 5 and an ignition plug 4. The shaft 7 serves as output shaft.
