Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the coercive force, by overlapping the nonmagnetic metal or nonmagnetic alloy thin plate and ferromagnetic thin plate including >=3 kinds of specified elements to form them into one body and then cold-milling and annelaing them and forming magnetic tape including the ferromagnetic phase causing Spinodal transformation. CONSTITUTION:The plate joined by overlapping the alloy thin plate including >=3 kinds of elements out of Fe, Ni, Co, Cu as ferromagnetic metal and the thin plate made of nonmagnetic metal (Cu, Cr) or nonmagnetic alloy (55wt% Ni-45wt% Cu and the like and by welding the circumference, is annealed at 1,000 deg.C in hydrogen atomosphere for 30min. Further, the thin plate of about 1mm. thickness is made with cold mill and it is subjected to solulizing treatment in hydrogen at about 1,000 deg.C to cool it repidly. Further, the plate is cold-milled into a tape of about 5mum thickness. The tape has the ferromagnetic layer causing Spinodal transformation by applying the magnetic field of >=500Oe and annealing it. Thus, the metallic tape excellent in the rectangular ratio and sensitivity and high in the high-region frequency output level can be obtained.
