Abstract

PURPOSE:To print continuous scenes without any variance by determining the correct exposure of each frame according to its density, averaging the correct exposures of several frames before and behind an original picture to be printed next through considering the degrees of resemblance as weights and determining the exposure based on the same. CONSTITUTION:Transmittance of each frame is measured, and a temporally correct exposure is determined. Next, the degree of resemblance of both frames is determined from the difference in densities between frames. The temporary exposures of several frames before and behind the frame to be printed are weight-averaged through considering the degrees of resemblance between the frame to be printed and the respective frames as weights, and this is set as the true correct exposure of the frame to be printed. The measurement of density is carried out with all the frames of one piece of film, and the measured values are stored in a memory.
