Abstract
PURPOSE: To perform surface treatment uniformly irrespectively of the shapes and sections of the objects to be treated by spraying treating liquid to said objects which are to be moved in the treating liquid in opposition to the flow of the treating liquid, just before and/or just after the immersion into the treating liquid.
CONSTITUTION: Objects 1 to be treated, such as automotive bodies, havng undergone surface preparation are moved by being suspended with a conveying means 2, and are immersed into treating liquid 4 such as zinc phosphate soln. or the like, from the left end of an immersion tank 3. In the front stage part of the tank 3, the liquid 4 is sprayed to the objects 1 from a riser 5A and/or 5B, one of which is positioned above the liquid 4, and the other is submerged in the liquid 4. Next, while the objects 1 immersed into the liquid 4 from the front stage part of the tank 3 are being transferred in the direction opposite from the flow of the liquid 4 toward the rear state, the entire surface is coated with zinc phosphate crystals. Next, in the rear state of the tank 3, the liquid 4 recirculated from a riser 11 is sprayed to the objects 1, thereby washing off the stuck sludge and recovering heat. Thence, the objects 1 are washed with a washing riser 12, whereby the remained sludge is washed off, the objects are cooled and their drying is prevented.
