Abstract
PURPOSE:To make possible the machining a fine round hole with high precision by setting electric discharge in such manner that numerous electrode members may be processed, processing the electrode in a fine line form with the help of a matrix while oscillating the electrode and performing electric discharge machining with the use of the electrode. CONSTITUTION:An electrode member 2 is attached to a oscillating device, while the center of a hole on a matrix 1 and the center of the electrode member 2 are deviated by a distance 3. The diameter 4 of an electrode 2a for machining a fine round hole is determined by a hole diameter 6 on the matrix 1 and a deviation distance 3. Electric conditions are so set that more electrode members 2 may be processed as compared with matrix 1. Then electrode members 2 are caused to revolve B by means of the oscillating device while being cuased to rotate A, thus carrying out electric discharge machining. Under this constitution, a fine line-shaped electrode can be processed in such state that it is installed correctly perpendicularly. If electric discharge processing is effected with said electrode under electric conditions that numerous works can be machined, it is possible to realize round hole machining of a small diameter with high precision.
