Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent fluctuation of the quantity of injection, nonuniform injection and the like by moving an injection plunger by strokes corresponding to the quantity of supplied fuel in the captioned device of a diesel engine and thereby preventing generation of bubbles in an injection pump chamber.
CONSTITUTION: A pressure-feed plunger 2 arranged in a cylinder 1 is driven by the engine, generates oil pressure synchronously with the engine, operates the injection plunger 3 in the pressure-feed plunger 2 by this oil pressure and feeds fuel to a nozzle 43 for injection. The pressure-feed plunger 2 and the injection plunger 3 form the injection pump chamber 30, and by the fuel sent into the injection pump chamber 30 by a fuel supply pump 65, the injection plunger 3 is pushed back by the strokes corresponding to the quantity of the fuel.
