Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect light rays from a plurality of display devices by taking light rays of a display device in a processing device using a opticalfiber cable and causing the optical fiber cable to automatically travel. CONSTITUTION:By the control of a processing device (not shown), a traveling device 3 is shifted to the left end where a limit switch 12 is operated, and the traveling device 3 is caused to travel to the right hand using the left hand as a starting point. Simultaneously with the traveling, the photosignal of the optical fiber cable 10 when the detecting end 7 passes the position of display device 15 of a device 14 to be detected stored before the use, is taken in the processing device and is subjected to data processing after the photoelectric conversion. By continuing the traveling and photosignal taking-in operation unit the traveling device 3 is shifted to a point where the limit switch 12 operates, whereby the state of the full display device 15 can be automatically detected. By these procedures, the lamping state of the display device 15 arranged at an arbitrary unstable position can be automatically detected.
