Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to measure the input and output characteristic of the coder which does not show any response to D.C. input, by measuring the input and output characteristics of the coder employing optional input signal such as a sine wave having a specified frequency. CONSTITUTION:A coder to be measured 12 samples the output from a sine wave generator 11 in a preset period, and operates AD conversion. A phase detector circuit 13 detects the phase of sine wave signal from the generator per time of the above said sampling. A level detector circuit 14 determines the instantaneous value of amplitude of the sine wave by the information with reference of phase position from the phase detector circuit 13, and outputs as digital signal. A memory circuit 15 stores digital outputs from the coder 12 and the circuit 14 periodically at the same time as the above sampling. When sufficient amount of data are stored in the memory circuit 15, a treatment circuit 16 can treat the two groups of data stored with their correspondency, thereby obtaining relation between the input and the output.
