Abstract

PURPOSE: To remove colored materials at an optimum ozone amount by installing a chromaticity detector to a storage tank provided at the intermediate of two or more reaction towers of series configuration for injecting ozone to the night soil secondary treated water etc. contg. colored materials.
CONSTITUTION: Raw water is flowed down from a lead-in pipe 4 into an ozone reaction tower 1a, and is reacted with the ozone from an ozone genertor 6a, whereby its chromaticity is lowered. This water is introduced into an intermediate storage tank 15, where it is stagnated for a fixed time. Thence, it is transferred into an ozone reaction tower 1b, and is reacted with the ozone generated from ozone generators 6b, 6c, whereby its chromaticity is lowered down to the target value or under. This water is released from a discharge pipe 5. The chromaticity of the waste water flowing into the storage tank 15 from the tower 1a is dispersed and uniformalized. The inflow time of the water in the tank 15 into the reaction tower 1b delays by the stagnation time, and this creates an allowance time for controlling.
