Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat exchange efficiency and at the same time minimize at low cost by a method wherein the water flows down from the upper part of sack bodies and on the other hand the air is supplied between each water channel and the heat exchange is performed between the water and the air.
CONSTITUTION: The hot water in a regenerative water tank 4 is suplied by a pump 5 through feed water passages to the feed water pipes 2 stretched over at the inner upper ends of a plurality of planklike polyester sacks 1 arranged in parallel and flows down within the sacks 1 in water films. Between each sack 1, the air 6 flows upwards facing to the flowing-down water films. As a result, the indirect heat exchange is performed between the water within the polyester sack 1 and the air. The water passed through drain holes 3 at the lower end of the polyester sack 1 is recovered to the regenerative water tank 4 and circulated.
