Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable an easy production of a life raft, by a method wherein the life raft is constituted such that sheets, coated with rubber or synthetic resin and having airtightness, are placed such that one sheet is laid over another and the sheets are adhered together by press using a mechanical device to form hollow cylindrical air chambers.
CONSTITUTION: There are produced 3 sheets, such as cloths, which are applied with rubber or synethetic resin and have airtightness. The upper and lower sheets 9 and 10 are cut such that they are sized wide in the direction of the width enough to form a hollow cylindrical part, and the sheet 9 is laid over the sheet 10 in a condition that a partition sheet 11 is positioned between the nip formed by the two sheets 9 and 10. Connections 12, 12 are adhered together by press using a mechanical device. This enables an easy production of a lift raft which has upper and lower air chambers 7 and 8.
