Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate the dependence on temperature for the free-running oscillation frequency to zero logically, by securing such constitution of circuit in which a diode is connected in series to an emitter resistance of a transistor pair. CONSTITUTION:The temperature compensating diode 26 is connected in series to the emitter resistance 21 of a transistor pair. The free-running oscillation frequency f0 becomes as f0=Vref/4CR3 (VBEoff on-VBEon-VD.(R1/R2)+ Vref.R1/R2). If Vref is a stabilizing power source having the temperature coefficient of zero, the free-running oscillation frequency f0 has the dependance on temperature at VBEoff on-VBEon-VD.R1/R2. To set this temperature dependance to zero logically, the resistance ratio is decided between R1 and R2 so as to satisfy d/dT (VBEoff on- VBeon-VD.R1/R2)=0.
