Abstract
PURPOSE: To prepare an electric cable clamping rivet inexpensively on a large scale by a method wherein a plastic cover is subjected to the insert molding so as to provide a definite interval on a metal wire and, thereafter, the metal wire is cut to an appropriate length.
CONSTITUTION: The metal wire A is inserted into a metal mold and the plastic covers 2, 2 are injected into a hollow place provided so as to provide a definite interval in said metal mold to prepare a molded product comprising integrating the metal wire A and plural covers 2. After said molded product is taken out from the metal mold, the metal wire A between covers 2, 2 is obliquely cut at a central part thereof to form needle parts 4, 4 and, finally, said needle like parts 4, 4 are bent along a leg part 5 of the plastic cover 2 by the press molding to form a nail part. Because the cover is preliminarily subjected to the insert molding to the metal wire A, it is unnecessary to attach the cover 2 to the nail part by manual work. If the cover 2 is formed into a disc like shape, an electric cable can be fixed by fingers similar to a thumbtack.
