Abstract
PURPOSE:To obtain excellent modulation characteristics even if a large-amplitude carrier is inputted, by independently driving two diodes by two driving circuit. CONSTITUTION:Carriers supplied from signal generator 1 propagate in both conductors of a slot line opposing in phase to each other and are supplied to diodes 4 and 5. Diodes 4 and 5, on the other hand, are applied with mutually out-of-phase signal waves from signal input terminals 9 and 12 to turn on-off by turns, performing 0-pi phase modulation. Thus, diodes 4 and 5 are driven independently of each other, so that the high-output phase modulator can be constituted.
