Abstract
PURPOSE: To enable the injection molding under maintaining the elasticity in the rubber by a method wherein the vulcanized rubber, blended with thermoplastic rubber, is added with a fluidity providing materil and is injection-molded under heating to a temperature higher than the melting point thereof.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of a mixture consisting of 100pts.wt. of vulcanized powdered rubber made by a method wherein rubber scraps such a waste tires or the like are refrigerated and crushed by liquid nitrogen and 20W100pts.wt. of thermoplastic rubber such as stylene butadien, stylene rubber or the like is blended with 10W70pts.wt. of thermoplastic resin such as high-density polyethylene or the like. Subsequently, this mixture is heated to a temperature higher than the melting temperature thereof to effect injection molding. According to this method, an interfacial adhesion between vulcanized powdered rubber and binder is increased and the elasticity of rubber may be maintained.
