Abstract

PURPOSE: To correct electrically shading, sensitivity irregularity, and luminance irregularity of the light source very simply, by storing information, which is obtained by reading a reference original in a memory and by reading this information from the memory when an original is read actually.
CONSTITUTION: The original stand where originals whould be put is provided with a reference original, and information of the reference original is read by one-scanning line components when a self-scanning photodetector is in the home position, and read information is stored in memory 27, which is constituted by an RAM, by the clock signal from crystal oscillator 21. When information from the original is read by CCD actually, information read dependent upon CCD22d and read of information of the reference original stored in memory 27 are synchronized with each other by the clock signal of oscillator 21, and respective informations are supplied to comparator 31. In this comparator 31, shading, sensitivity irregularity, luminance irregularity, and so on are corrected electrically with the value read from memory 27 as a reference value.
