Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the effective number of copying sheets by providing a sorter counter together with a paper feeding counter and shifting the contents of the sorter counter to the paper feeding counter when a jam signal is produced. CONSTITUTION:A sorter 11 which stors and houses the copied sheet 4 ejected from the body 1 of the copying machine is mounted to this body 1. A paper feeding counter 16 which controls the number of paper sheets to be fed by being controlled by the number of sheets having been preset, and a sorter counter 19 which counts the number of sheets of the paper 4 housed in the sorter 11 are provided, and the contents of this sorter counter 19 are shifted into the counter 16 on condition of a jam signal.
