Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to reduce an actual mounting space and the weight, by utilizing a resistance of a ripple-smoothening inductance as an excess current detecting resistance. CONSTITUTION:An AC input voltage Es is put into a transformer T through a commutation-smoothening unit 1, and a voltage which is excited on secondary side of the transformer T by switching of a switching transistor Tg is commuted and smoothed by a diode D1, an inductance L1 and a capacitor C1 to become an output voltage E0. On the other hand, a voltage which was generated on the both terminals of the inductance L1 by an output current 10 is put into an excess current detecting comparator 4 through a high-region breaking filters R2 and C2. When an excess current passes and a voltage drop by a resistance of the inductance L1 exceeded a reference voltage VR, a switching stop command 3 is sent out to a switching transistor control unit 2 to prevent a power source from the excees current. It is possible, by doing so, to reduce in size and power loss without using a large-type excess current detecting resistance of high heat generation.
