Abstract

PURPOSE: A curable coating composition, consisting of a radiation curable resin and an ethylenically unsaturated compound containing chlorine as main agents, and having improved adhesive property particularly to a molded vinyl chloride resin article.
CONSTITUTION: (A) 100pts.wt. Resin capable of curing with ultraviolet light or electron rays, e.g. epoxyacrylic or unsaturated polyester resin, is incorporated with (B) preferably 5W30pts.wt. ethylenically unsaturated compound, e.g. 1,1-dichloroethylene, having two or more chlorine atoms in the molecule, (C) An ethylenically unsaturated monomer, e.g. styrene or butyl acrylate, or an acrylic resin may be added thereto if necessary to adjust the viscosity or impart the flexibility thereto.
