Abstract
PURPOSE:To detect the level difference between an AC signal and a disturbance signal as well as the code error factor, by measuring the code error factor after superposing the disturbance signal onto the AC signal received at the reception side of a data transmission circuit and then converting them into a digital signal. CONSTITUTION:At the reception side of the data transmission line 4, the AC signal is branched through the signal branching circuit 6 that is connected to the output terminal 5 of the circuit 4. Then the receiving level of the AC signal is measured by the level measuring circuit 7. This measurement is easy by an operation only at the reception side of the circuit 4 since an optional setting is possible by the result of measurement and the level control circuit 9. In such a way, the code error factor to be measured is deteriorated by adding the disturbance signal given from outside to the AC signal. Then the margin of the disturbance wave is measured. As a result, the time of measurement can be reduced. At the same time, the accuracy can be increased in the detection of faults.
