Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the starting load on a power unit, by setting slide bars on the external circumference of an inner wheel and shifting the position of weights of the bars by virtue of springs and centrifugal force. CONSTITUTION:Slide bars 2 are radially planted on the external circumference of an inner wheel 1, each bar 2 being attached with a weight 3 and spring 4 in this order at the tip, and fixed to an outer wheel 5 to compose a flywheel. This can reduce the starting load on a power unit, because the weights 3 are shifted toward the inner wheel 1 at the time of starting or low revolution, while at the time of high revolution, the springs 4 are contracted by the weights 3 due to the centrifugal force, the weights 3 being shifted outward, to play the substantial role of flywheel.
