Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal deformation of a solid output window and enable a laser beam of high output to pan through it by cooling the solid output window by using cooling means provided in the center portion and on the periphery. CONSTITUTION:An enclosure 2 filled with a laser medium 1 consists of a main body portion 2A of long and thin cylinder shape and a projecting portion 2B projecting from one side of the main body portion 2A. At both ends inside the main body, concave and convex reflecting mirrors 3 and 20 are arranged facing to each other. An intermediate reflecting mirror 21 is diagonally disposed in the main body, between both the reflecting mirrors. A hollow through hole 22 to pass the laser beam is formed in the center of the intermediate reflecting mirror 21, and a reflecting portion 23 is formed on the periphery of the through hole 22. The reflecting portion 23 allows a portion of the laser beam to irradiate a solid output window 24 attached inside the projecting portion 2B. The permeating portion 27 of the solid output window 24 is cooled from the outside and the inside by a cooling passage 10 and cooling means 29.
