Abstract
PURPOSE:To fit an ultrasonic-wave receiver to existing piping earily and precisely by making the internal wall surface of a fitting tool in V-shaped groove structure and by making an ultrasonic transducer face to the center of piping. CONSTITUTION:Fitting tools 2a and 2b are coupled like a hinge at one-side ends with pin 6, and the other-side ends are tightened up by inserting a nut into tightening bolt 5. Transmitter 3a and receiver 3b consisting of transducer elements 31a and 31b and wedges 32a and 32b respectively are inserted in through-holes 10a and 10b provided to fitting tool 2a and pressed upon piping 1 by pressing tools 9a and 9b. At this time, transmitter 3a and receiver 3b are set on the straight line, running in the center of piping 1, in the pipe-axis vertical section by positioning planes 11 of the V-shaped grooves provided to the inside parts of fitting tools 2a and 2b. Thus, the easy and precise fitting is achieved without any need for adjustment in the operation of fitting the transmitter and receiver to the piping.
