Abstract

PURPOSE:To shorten a measurement section for load on one load by installing means of detecting car coupling parts in the measurement section and by using signals of detectors for load on the wheel to fetch said load and also to detect the number of wheel shafts. CONSTITUTION:Values for load on each wheel measured by said load detectors 1- 5 are stored in memory devices 14-18 respectively, and the mean value of load on one wheel, for example, of the stored values is found by processor 21 and stored in memory devices 23. The signals of detectors 4 and 5 are converted by wheel detectors 19 and 20 into shaft pass signals, which are sent to processor 22. Processor 22 detects brakes of cars and the number of shafts of cars by shaft signals from shaft detectors 19 and 20 and a light signals from light projector-photodetector 13 installed between detectors 4 and 5.
