Abstract

PURPOSE: To control the hydraulic rise of a slack adjuster circuit which holds the stroke of a brake cylinder by providing a throttle valve in the tank port of the solenoid valve in the brake circuit of a hydraulic brake.
CONSTITUTION: A hydraulic brake for a car consists of a hydraulic generation circuit and a pressure storage circuit which are not illustrated, brake circuit 3, slack adjuster circuit 4, and brake cylinder 5. The brake circuit 3 has a solenoid valve 12 which is switched by the instruction of an operator and supplies and discharges pressurized oil to the cylinder 5. The adjuster circuit 4 sends the pressurized oil to the cylinder 5 with the pressure storage device and obtains brake force. It keeps also the gap between a wheel and a brake shoe constant. In this case, since the pressure of the cylinder head side 5b is suddenly removed through the solenoid valve 12 during braking and the hydraulic rise of the circuit 4 is prevented, a variable throttle valve 16 is connected to the tank port of the solenoid valve 12.
