Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent circumference from contamination in supplying a developer by locking an inner cylinder with openings of inner and outer cylinders out of alignment before loading, and by unlocking the inner cylinder for ready rotation after loading. CONSTITUTION:Before inner cylinder 3 with opening 1 is fitted in outer cylinder 5 with opening 4 and the both are loaded in developing device 18, pusher 27 of inner cylinder 3 is intruded into hole 25 of outer cylinder 5 by spring 24 and while openings 1 and 4 of both the cylider are not aligned, the inner cylinder is locked with pin 26 projected out of outer cylinder 5 by the tip of the pusher. After loading them in developing device 18, pin 26 moves back in contact with side plate 18c, and consequently pusher 27 is intruded into inner cylinder 3 against spring 24, so that inner cylinder 3 will be rotatable in outer cylinder 5. In this state, aligning openings 1 and 4 to each other by rotating inner cylinder 3 permits a developer to fall in developing device 18.
