Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the transfer material capable of producing a patterned and colored metallic-type ornament easily by a method wherein a transfer substrate surface coated with a parting agent is colored, then is provided with hairline patterns, thereafter a metal is vacuum-deposited on the colored and patterned surface and an adhesive is coated on the deposited metal.
CONSTITUTION: Firstly, a colorless or colored transparent parting agent 2 is coated on the surface of a synthetic resin film 1, then the surface of the parting agent 2 is colored by printing, coating, etc. Further, the hairlines 4 reaching to the parting agent 2 are produced in the surface of the colored parts 3 by sandpaper, nylon brush or the like, after which the metal such as aluminum, chromium, etc. is vacuum-deposited on the colored parts 3 and the hairline parts 4 to produce a deposited metal film 5, and then a pressure-sensitive adhesive 6 is coated on the surface of the deposited film 5. The resulting transfer material is fitted on an object (a) and the film 1 is stripped.
