Abstract
PURPOSE:To perform an accurate diagnosis of an abnormal sound without effected by the background noise, by discriminating an abnormal sound from the background noise. CONSTITUTION:An acoustic sensor 3 for rotary part is attached at the rotary part 2 of a rotor 1 to be tested, and this output signal is extracted via the signal transmitting part 4 that transmits the signal to the static side. This output signal is then amplified by an amplifier 5 to be applied as an input signal of the signal processing circuit 6. On the other hand, an acoustic sensor 9 for fixed part is attached at the fixed part 8 to the rotor 1, and this output signal is amplified through an amplifier 10 to be applied as a comparison input of the circuit 6 through a comparing wave detecting circuit 11. An abnormal sound is discriminated from the background noise at the circuit 11.
