Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a tread rubber composition for tires with extremely reduced rolling resistance without damaging frictional resistance on a wet road surface, by ubilizing a specific high-vinyl polybutadiene rubber.
CONSTITUTION: 20W100pts.wt. High-vinyl polybutadiene having a vinyl structure at least not less than 40wt%, preferably not less than 60wt%, a glass transition temperature -70°CW-20°C, preferably -50°CW-20°C, and a trans structure 30W 10% is blended with 80W0pts.wt., preferably 75W40pts.wt. styrene-butadiene rubber. The high-vinyl polybutadiene rubber may be used alone, and the performance of rolling resistance is improved further by blending it with styrene-butadiene rubber.
