CONSTITUTION:A pair of light sources 8A, 8B and a pair of oscillating reflection mirrors 9A, 9B as well as a pair of shielding plates 14A, 14B near the light source devices 8A, 8B are disposed. The tube lamps 82A, 82B of the light source devices have, for example, three light emitting parts f1-f3, and these parts f1-f3 are disposed symmetrically with respect to the center of the tube lamps. The disposition thereof and the quantities of light emission of the respective light emitting parts are so set that the illuminance distribution in the slit direction in a slit exposure part is uniformalized with respect to the end parts A, B in the slit scanning direction. Thereby, the original lighting device of the simple construction and a uniform illuminance distribution is obtained.
