Abstract

PURPOSE:To necessitate only switch operation for the operator's measurement work by continuously detecting the maximum noise level at every predetermined time and displaying the average value thereof. CONSTITUTION:The signal from a microphone 4 is analogically read by a meter 6 which is actuated by the operation of a change-over switch 5. The switch 5 is changedover according to the noise levels detected. At the same time, the electric signal inputted to the meter 6 are led out to the output terminal 9 of a noise level detector 2. A terminal 10 inserted to the output terminal 9 of the detector 2 and is connected to the terminal 9 is provided to an arithmetic processing unit 3. The unit 3 has the functions of detecting the maximum value of the noise levels at every limited time with a limit time setting switch 11, making this detection operation for continuous 10 times of the limited time, averaging the ten maximum noise levels obtained in this manner and displaying the same in a digital display device 12.
