Abstract

PURPOSE: To raise greatly the rigidity of any portion of a steel pipe sheet pile by a method in which a steel pipe sheet pile provided with projections along its inside circumference is driven, an iron bar structure is inserted into the steel pipe so as to place it on the projections, and then concrete is placed.
CONSTITUTION: A steel pipe sheet pile 12 is driven into a given depth, an iron bar structure 15 is inserted into the main pipe 9 of the sheet pile by turning its annular plate portion 16 downwards so as to place it on projections 11 provided inside the pipe 9, and then concrete is poured from the upper side down to the position of the two-dotted broken line a into the main pipe 9 so as to bury the iron bar structure. Then, a share connector 13 is welded to the periphery of the main pipe 9 to construct bridge. To make lesser the effect of welding heat when fitting the share connector 13, a reinforcing ring having an inside diameter larger than the outside diameter of the iron bar structure 15 is preferably attached to the inside circumference of the main pipe 9 of sheet pile, corresponding to the fitting position of the share connector. Thus, the rigidity of the fitting position of the share connector 13 of the steel pipe sheet pile 12 can be greatly raised by a simple work.
