Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a lubricant for hot forging which is excellent in workability such as lubricity and releasing property and is free of environmental pollution, by dispersing a synthetic laminar substance, zinc sulfide, and an adhesive in water.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture of 10W80% synthetic laminar substance, 0W50% montmorillonite, 10W80% zinc sulfide, and 30% or less inorganic or organic adhesive is dispersed in a proportion of 6W10% in water. Then, a dispersant is further added to the dispersion thus obtained in order to obtain a lubricant having good fluidity and high concentration. In this case, the dispersant used includes phosphates, oxalates, etc., and its mixing ratio is 20% or less preferably. Also, to raise releasing property, a water-soluble organic substance gasifiable at 150W350°C may be added.
