Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain an additive exhibiting excellent deliming effect when being added to an aqeuous slurry of pulverized coal and stirred with an oil, from spcific surfactants.
CONSTITUTION: An additive used is obtained from a cationic surfactant, e.g., quaternary ammonium salt type surfactants such as dodecyltrimethylammonium chloride. The additive is used in an amount of approx. 0.005W10% (approx. 10W 2,000ppm on the basis of coal amount) for an aqueous slurry of pulverized coal.
