Abstract
PURPOSE: To contrive a power increase by complete combustion by a method wherein the lower part of a combustion chamber is formed in circular shape and the top opening in polygonal shape, and fuel on the gapped top is uniformly distributed by a reverse squish.
CONSTITUTION: The combustion chamber 3 is mounted on the top of a piston 2, a fuel injection nozzle 5 having a plurality of injection parts is faced corresponding to the combustion chamber 3, the combustion chamber 3 at the lower part is made circular and the top opening is formed in polygonal shape. At least a part of the edge of the polygonal-shaped opening is adapted to be situated inward the edge of the lower circular part. Whereby swirls caused by a suction port is less decreased in the process of forming a mixed gas when meeting a fuel spray in the bottom circular part of the combustion chamber and in addition, small air eddies are produced at a square part of the upper portion and sent into the lower part of the combustion chamber by the positive squish.
