Abstract
PURPOSE:To appreciate various functions of monitor points at a central monitoring center by realizing picture quality appreciation on the monitor video receiver of the center and by projecting band-compressed information on the monitor video receiver by converting it into a video signal. CONSTITUTION:Monitor point A consists of telecamera 1, sampling circuits 2a, quantizing circuits 2b, encoding circuits 2c, transmission-side signal selection block 3, signal composition block 4, and E/O (electric signal/optical signal) converter 5. Central monitoring center B consists of transmission line 6, O/E converter 7, signal branch block 8, decoding blocks 9, reception-side signal selection block 10, complementary filtering blocks 11, and monitor video receivers 12. Then, information quantized, information band-compressed, and information decoded through transmission signal selection block 3 and reception signal selection block 10 are converted into video signals, which are projected on monitor video receivers 12 of central monitoring center B.
