Abstract
PURPOSE:To make it possible to adjust frequency fF of one vibration mode independently by providing an electrode for adjusting fF and an electrode for adjusting (fF-fT), where fT is the frequency of the other vibration mode, on two main surfaces of a tuning fork arm. CONSTITUTION:While DELTAf=(fF-fT), electrode 8 for adjusting DELTAf is provided on node D of a tuning fork arm and electrode 8 is adjusted to set DELTAf to the best value DELTAf0. Electrode 9 for adjusting fF is an inverted triangle and fF can be adjusted to the best value fF0 with DELTAf set to DELTAf0, by vapor-depositing a metallic film on electrode 9 or by notching the metallic film.
