When the count value of counter 16 coincides with data set in set character number register 18, signal S20 is output from comparator 20, and signals S24 and S21 become state 1, and extended data d2 is output from memory 12 through selecting part 13. Simultaneously, signal S12 is output to count up counter 16; and when the count value coincides with the value set in read character number register 19, signal S26 is output from comparator 26 to stop reading of extended data d2 from memory 12.
