Abstract
PURPOSE:To facilitate operation control over data while reducing the memory of each switchboard, by centralizing data, required for the switching operation of a switching device, to a data base device and then by utilizing them in common. CONSTITUTION:Data shared among independent decentralized switchboards 1 and 2 and channel office switchboards 3-6 are proviced centrally to one data base device 12, which is connected to independent decentralized switchboards 1 and 2, and channel office switchboards 3-6 in composite loop switching networks 16 and 17. Then, all of independent decentralized switchboards 1 and 2 or channel office switchboards 3-6 belonging to loop switching networks 16 or 17 read data out of data base device 12 by using one or more signal transmission channels assigned for time-division multiplex channels, and on the basis of the data, switching operation is carried out. Therefore, centralized maintenance operation is enabled and the switchboards need not hold a great amount of data.
