Abstract

PURPOSE:To adjust white balance simply without preparing a white copying material and a semitransparent material, by providing a mechanism where the zoom lens becomes a wide angle automatically while interlocking with the operation of the white balance adjusting volume. CONSTITUTION:Incident light 1 to the color TV camera is applied to electric zoom lens 26, and the incident light 3 from lens 26 is applied to signal processing circuit 5 through image pickup element 4, and luminance signal Y, red signal R, luminance signal YL for color signal, and blue signal B separated from one another are taken out. These signal R and B are applied to subtracting circuit 10 and 11 for obtaining color difference signals through variable gain amplifiers 6 and 7, and color difference signals R-YL and B-YL are smoothed by smoothing circuits 17 and 18. Switches 22 and 23 are controlled by outputs of circuits 17 and 18, and the gain of amplifiers 6 and 7 is controlled automatically by memory parts 24 and 25 to adjust the white balance. Lens 26 is made wide-angle by switch 27 which is interlocked with switches 22 and 23 to adjust the white balance automatically.
