Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the variation of the tank gas pressure and the tank temperature by controlling the driving of a spray pump during barast cruising of an LPG tanker by the output of an AND circuit driven by a spray operating signal and an intermittent pulse signal.
CONSTITUTION: Pumping-up pumps 10 are provided within a plurality of tanks T and the pump 10 are connected to spraying nozzles 12. The tanks are cooled by spraying LNG in the tanks with the spraying nozzles 12. The LNG sprayed and evaporated is compressed by a compressor 3 and combusted to produce propelling power. A circuit 16 capable of providing a spray operating signal and a circuit 17 capable of providing an intermittent pulse signal are connected to an AND circuit 18. The intermittent operation of the pumps 10 is controlled by the output signal of the AND circuit 18. The intermittent operation of the pumps 10 reduces the variation of the tank pressure and the tank temperature.
