PURPOSE:To make one editted tape by playing back the 1st tape prior to editing with one unit of a digital recorder-reproducer and recording only the required parts of the 1st tape in the 2nd tape with the 2nd recorder-reproducer. CONSTITUTION:When PCM data are inputted to a P terminal, these data are stored in a memory 9 of which the addresses are controlled by an address counter 10. A switch 15 is ON at (b-c), and the inputted PCM data bypass a cross fade processing circuit 16 and are converted to the original analog signal by a DA converter 18. This signal is cut off of higher band components by an LPF19, is amplified 20, and is supplied to a speaker 21, whereby the voices of a playback side tape recorder are monitored. Next, a recording side tape recorder is played back and when the PCM data are inputted to its R terminal, these data are recorded into a memory 12. At this time, the operations of a memory address counter 13, the switch 15, the cross fade processing circuit 16, the D/A converter 18, the LPF19, the amplifier 20 and the speaker 21 are the same as those mentioned above.
