Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the strength of receptacles and to accomplish uniform heating of substances to be heated, by forming a plurality of microwave transmitting slits in the receptacles made of metal plate.
CONSTITUTION: Receptacles 8W10 made of metal plate are formed with handholds 15 which are made of a heat-resisting, insulating material. These receptacles 8W10 are supported at the handholds 15 on the wall 2 or support metals 14 in a heating chamber in an electrically insulating manner. Further, over the entire region of the receptacles 8W10, there are formed many microwave transmitting slits 16. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to heat a large amount of food by microwaves by inserting or drawing out the receptacles 8, 9 selectively. Further, since the microwaves are irradiated uniformly throughout the entire space of small chambers 12, 13 through the many slits 16, food in small chambers 12, 13 can be heated uniformly.
