Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a device which is simple in construction, is low in price and has no limits in use environments by working a sensor base material, which has beforehand been formed to a required shape, by applying the load up to the required permissible load of the object to be measured thereby constituting the stress sensor. CONSTITUTION:The shape of a sensor base material 2 is such that parts 3 and 4 are made slender or a notched groove 5 is provided to a part and further a microcrazing 6 is put in said groove 5. Such material 2 is worked by pulling the same down to the plastic region of that material or by doing other, whereby the material 2 is deformed at near the tensile strength of that material and in such a manner that the permissible load of the object to be measured is reached; thereafter, the load is released, whereby a stress sensor 7 is obtained. One or plural detecting members 8 are mounted to this, whereby the stress detector is completed. With such stress detector, the stress displacements of members is known easily under a large deformation state.
