Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve supporting strength, vibration resistance, realiability, etc. by providing projecting parts to an insulating base plate provided with a gas sensitive element, electrically connecting these projecting parts between the electrodes of the element and the other end side of a supporting body by using the insulating-characteristic supporting body having through holes permitting fitting of said projecting parts. CONSTITUTION:An oxygen sensor element 30 in which a reference side electrode 33, oxygen ion conductive solid electrolyte 34, and a measuring side electrode 35 are laminated in order on an insulating base plate 31 having two projecting parts 32 and if necessary, a protecting layer 36 is provided and the conductive coating layers 37 respectively communicated with the electrodes 33, 35 are provided on the projecting parts 32, is prepared. On the other hand, through-holes 42 into which the projecting parts 32 are fitted are provided to a conductive supporting body 41, and the conductive material layers 43 in the holes 42 and the layers 37 of the fitted projecting parts 32 are connected.
